Brookfield Asset Management selects new CFO, raises $30b in 2019

Brookfield Asset Management has promoted Nicholas Goodman to CFO.

Goodman, who previously served as treasurer, has held a number of senior finance roles since he joined the firm in 2010, including CFO of Brookfield Renewable Partners, the firm’s renewable power arm.

Goodman succeeds former CFO Brian Lawson, who will continue to serve as a director of Brookfield and will provide guidance and advice on the company’s finance and risk management activities as a vice chair, according to the firm.

In other news, Brookfield Asset Management released its financial results for 2019, disclosing more than $30 billion in capital raised during the year. More than $50 billion has been raised for its latest round of flagship funds.
