Bouwinvest raises €125m for residential and office funds

Bouwinvest Real Estate Investors raised €125 million ($139 million) in new capital commitments for its residential and office funds in first half 2019, the firm reported July 29.

Two existing investors and one new investor contributed to the funds,, according to Bouwinvest.

The residential fund received a total of €100 million ($111 million) in new commitments after one of its existing clients, the pension fund for the Dutch employee insurance agency UWV, raised its allocation to the fund, according to Bouwinvest.

Capital also was raised from a pension fund advised by Kempen Capital Management, a new investor, bringing the total number of investors in the residential fund to 23.

The residential fund focuses primarily on the mid-range private rental market in the Netherlands and had total invested capital of €6.1 billion ($6.8 billion), as of June 30.
