Blackstone Real Estate Partners X (BREP X), the latest in Blackstone’s series of global flagship real estate funds, is nearing its estimated target of $30.3 billion.
The closed-end fund has raised more than $28 billion of equity commitments, according to an SEC filing from Jan. 31. BREP X aims to construct a diversified portfolio of real estate and real estate-related assets globally.
According to the filing, 180 investors have contributed to the vehicle. The investor mix consists of a number of U.S. pension funds and endowments, including the Virginia Retirement System, the North Carolina Retirement Systems, the Indiana Public Retirement System, the Michigan Office of Retirement Services and the South Carolina Retirement System Investment Commission.
