BlackRock Real Assets has announced that BlackRock Infrastructure Solutions, the firm’s dedicated infrastructure multi-manager investment team, has successfully achieved a €1.4 billion ($1.58 billion) final close for its latest private infrastructure equity fund, Global Infrastructure Solutions 4, meaningfully exceeding its initial target.
GIS 4 offers investors diversified, global exposure to infrastructure equity investments through combining primaries, secondaries and co-investments. The fund welcomed institutional investors from across Europe, North America and Asia Pacific. The fund primarily targets brownfield infrastructure investments in developed markets benefitting from secular, long-term trends such as digitalization, decarbonization and decentralization. As of the final close, Fund 4 has already committed close to half of client commitments to underlying investments.
