AXA Investment Managers – Real Assets appoints new U.S. director of acquisitions

AXA Investment Managers – Real Assets has appointed Andrew Piekarski as U.S. director of acquisitions, effective immediately.

In his new role, Piekarski will be responsible for sourcing, underwriting and executing acquisitions in accordance with individual client and fund objectives, which include both direct and joint venture investments, often with local operating partners. Piekarski will manage a team of five with the objective of accelerating the growth of AXA IM – Real Assets’ assets under management across U.S. gateway cities.

Piekarski joins with more than 25 years of commercial real estate experience, most recently at WAFRA, INC., a New York–based investment advisory firm, where he spent the past two years in the role of acquisitions director for the Southeastern region responsible for sourcing, evaluating, underwriting and acquiring properties on behalf of clients.
