Aviva Investors acquires freehold interest in five U.K. care homes

London-based Aviva Investors, a global asset management company and part of Aviva Group, has acquired the freehold interest in a group of five care homes through its Lime Property Fund.

Launched in 2004, the Lime Property Fund is a long income real estate fund with a net asset value of £2.3 billion ($2.8 billion). It seeks to develop its portfolio of high-quality long income real estate assets in the United Kingdom.

The portfolio of the five properties, located in Yorkshire and County Durham, include The Manor House in Barnard Castle, Wetherby Manor. The Manor House in Knaresborough, Oulton Manor and The Manor House in Harrogate.

Together, the assets provide more than 380 senior care rooms, which also offer care to those with dementia.
