Australia’s largest build-to-rent development receives green light from Minister for Planning

District Living, one of the country’s largest build-to-rent developments in Melbourne’s Docklands, will now become a reality following the nod of approval from the Minister for Planning.

The A$700 million-plus ($464 million) project will be delivered by specialized real estate investment and advisory group AsheMorgan and, once complete, will provide more than 900 BTR apartments across two buildings on Little Docklands Drive.

Minister for Planning Sonya Kilkenny and Victorian Premier Jacinta Allan attended the future site on Monday, May 6, to make the announcement.

As a means of catering to young families within the Docklands Primary catchment, the project will offer a generous mix of studios and one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments, as well as more than 4,000 square meters (43,000 square feet) of amenities.
