Aquila Capital raises €330m for Southern European logistics fund

Aquila Capital has completed a first closing of its new open-end Southern European logistics fund, which launched with a committed equity volume of €330 million ($374 million) from international institutional investors.

Aquila Capital Southern European Logistics SICAV-RAIF (ACSEL) initially aimed to raise €250 million ($283 million) but, based on strong demand, the first closing volume was upsized to €330 million ($374 million). Aquila expects to deploy the capital raised in the first closing within 18 months.

With a target investment volume of €1.5 billion ($1.7 billion) in gross asset value, ACSEL will focus on modern and energy-efficient logistics properties, which create value by combining sustainability, attractive rental conditions and strategic locations.
