Airbnb to expand into meeting-space arena

Airbnb has acquired Gaest.com, a Danish firm that connects businesses with spaces they can rent for offsite meetings. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Gaest.com, an Aarhus, Denmark-based startup, provides commercial spaces to accommodate a variety of meeting activities, including interviews, workshops, team-building events and other occasions such as photoshoots.

Airbnb already accommodates business travelers on its platform with Airbnb for Work, which launched in 2014.
