Barings has appointed Séverine Maumy-Laffineur, who has served as managing director and real estate country head for France since 2015, as co-portfolio manager of its European Core Property Fund (BECPF).
Maumy-Laffineur is currently responsible for sourcing real estate investment opportunities in France, and is a member of the European investment committee.
She previously worked with Standard Life Investments as European portfolio manager, and was national director at LaSalle Investment Management before that. She also was a financial analyst at Hammerson in France. Maumy-Laffineur brings 24 years of investment experience to the role.
She replaces Jorge Duarte, who will leave the firm in December, and will work alongside James Whittaker, co-portfolio manager of BECPF.
