iCON Infrastructure Partners invests in Dobson Fiber

iCON Infrastructure Partners has agreed to acquire a stake in U.S.-based telecommunications provider Dobson Fiber to support the company’s $700 million fiber network deployment plan across Oklahoma, Arkansas and Texas.

Specifically, the firm is investing out of its iCON Infrastructure Partners V fund, which closed with $1.9 billion in capital commitments in April 2020. iCON V will invest in mid-sized infrastructure businesses located in Europe and North America.

Dobson Fiber has been providing telecommunications services in Oklahoma since 1936. The company currently delivers connectivity services such as high-speed internet and VoIP telephone, to enterprises, small- and medium-sized businesses, and residential homes. Dobson Fiber targets its local fiber-based internet services towards underserved communities.
