Egyptian General Petroleum Corp. (EGPC) has signed an agreement with Italian energy group Eni for oil exploration in the Gulf of Suez and Nile Delta regions, according to an Oil Ministry statement.
The estimated investment is approximately $1 billion.
Eni also has plans to commit an additional $20 million to drill four wells in the region.
