i3 Fundraising Report Q2/2026

According to the IREI infrastructure database, private equity infrastructure fundraising might not have hit a wall, but it’s certainly slowing down. Only nine funds reached a final closing in second quarter 2026, raising a mere $22.3 billion.

i3 Fundraising Report Q1/2026

According to Institutional Real Estate, Inc.’s infrastructure database, 18 infrastructure funds reached a final closing with an aggregate total of $32.0 billion in the first quarter of 2026. This is the lowest first quarter total since 2023, when only $9.1 billion reached a final closing.  Average fund size has also declined, as has the average time in the market.

i3 Fundraising Report Q4/2025

According to Institutional Real Estate, Inc.’s infrastructure database, 15 infrastructure funds reached a final closing with an aggregate total of $72.8 billion in the fourth quarter of 2025, bringing the total for the year to a record-breaking, record-shattering $217.2 billion.
