IMT Capital, a private real estate investment and management company with a nationwide portfolio of multifamily properties, has held a final close for IMT Capital Fund V, an investment fund with $820 million in committed equity. Investors in Fund V include a select group of university endowments, foundations, pension funds and high-net-worth individuals.
Fund V will invest opportunistically in multifamily properties located in major U.S. markets with a value-based investment strategy. The strategy is designed to deliver risk-adjusted investment returns independent of economic cycles.
The fund’s predecessor, IMT Capital Fund IV, held a $630 million final close in March 2016. The fund has invested in 12 properties so far.
Since 1992, IMT Capital and/or its affiliates have made investments totaling more than $5 billion in value, including significant co-investments from its principals.
