Did you know that Google invested $30 billion in infrastructure between 2015 and 2017 to lay 64,000 miles of trans-ocean communication cables? Google is one of several technology companies investing heavily in communications infrastructure. What’s more, digital technologies are being embedded in a host of infrastructure projects. Mathias Burghardt, an executive with Ardian, brings his more than 25 years of experience in the infrastructure and energy sectors, to the program and offers examples of how digital technologies are making their way into infrastructure.
