Zanbato Raises $3 Million for Infrastructure Platform

by

Zanbato Inc., an infrastructure software platform company, has raised approximately $3 million in its first institutional funding from the Alberta Investment Management Corp. and undisclosed individual investors to expand its online marketplace presence.

The Zanbato platform is similar in concept to commercial real estate companies such as LoopNet and CoStar. Owners of infrastructure assets, both primary and secondary, list on a market site where qualified investors can begin the process of trading interests. The goal is to improve the way pension funds, governments and private equity firms invest billions of dollars in infrastructure projects throughout the world by creating a online presence for deals.

Zanbato was co-founded by Ryan Orr, Stanford University
