What is the mission of the American Council of Engineering Companies?

We are a statewide association of about 1,200 engineering and surveying firms of all types. We provide services for housing, water projects, transportation and many other types of projects, and our mission is to help create a healthy business climate in California. Engineers contribute a lot to the economy and society and to the quality of Californian’s lives. We want to be sure, for example, that state policies — rules and statutes — make sense, that they help allow engineers to do their jobs well, and that
