KKR Asia Pacific Infrastructure Investors II captures $5.7b of commitments

KKR has secured more than $5.7 billion for its KKR Asia Pacific Infrastructure Investors II, according to a recent filing with the SEC. The document reports that at least 67 investors have contributed to the fund.

The fund launched in May 2022 and will invest in critical infrastructure with low volatility and strong downside protection in Asia Pacific. The fund series has a broad investment mandate across both emerging and developed Asia Pacific in sectors such as waste, renewables, power and utilities, telecommunications, and transportation infrastructure.

The initial fund in the series, KKR Asia Pacific Infrastructure Investors, closed in January 2021 with $3.9 billion of equity commitments. At its final closing, KKR Asia Pacific Infrastructure Investors became the largest pan-regional infrastructure fund to have been raised for Asia Pacific.
