The Washington State Investment Board’s (WSIB) Private Markets Committee has recommended a consideration of a $300 million commitment to LS Power Equity Partners VI, according to official materials.
LS Power Equity Partners VI, a program of LS Power Equity Advisors, is a closed-end fund with a fundraising goal of $4 billion. This fund will focus on gas-fired generation, renewable power and storage development and generation, distributed energy, electrification infrastructure and renewable fuels in the United States. LS Power Equity Partners V, its predecessor, closed with $2.7 billion in total equity, marking it oversubscribed from its initial target of $2.5 billion.
WSIB, a public pension fund, had $202.8 billion in total assets under management, as of Feb. 5, 2026.
