The $128.8 billion Washington State Investment Board has committed $250 million to ISQ Global Infrastructure Fund II.
ISQ Global Infrastructure Fund II is managed by I Squared Capital, an independent global infrastructure investment manager that focuses on energy, utilities and transport in North America, Europe and select high-growth economies. The fund will invest in brownfield acquisitions in the transportation, utility and renewables sectors.
In 2015, WSIB also committed $200 million to ISQ Cube Hydro Co-Investment Fund.
The series’ debut infrastructure vehicle, ISQ Global Infrastructure Fund II, held a $3 billion final close.
In additional commitments to infrastructure funds, WSIB committed $750 million to funds managed by Stonepeak Infrastructure Partners. The pension fund committed $600 million to Stonepeak Infrastructure Fund III and a further $150 million to a co-investment vehicle.
