Woodside Energy Group has completed the sell-down of a 40 percent interest in Louisiana LNG Infrastructure to Stonepeak, following an initial agreement reached between the two companies in April.
Stonepeak’s closing payment of approximately $1.9 billion reflects the firm’s 75 percent share of capex funding, incurred since the effective date of Jan. 1.
Louisiana LNG Infrastructure is a liquefied natural gas (LNG) production and export terminal in Calcasieu Parish, La. The project, positioned in the heart of the Gulf Coast LNG corridor near natural gas resources and with direct access to the gulf, has a total permitted capacity of 27.6 million tonnes per annum.
