Winda Energy Oy, known as a responsible developer of renewable energy projects, is expanding its operations with a new data center project in Rastikangas, Janakkala. The project is being developed in European collaboration with Gi21 Capital, an investment company specializing in the development, construction and operation of data center infrastructure across Europe.
The planned capacity of the data center is approximately 100 megawatts, with an estimated investment exceeding half a billion euros.
“Finland and Winda Energy have already invested heavily in green electricity production, and it is great to see how this opens up new business opportunities on the consumption side,” says Tuomas Hooli, CEO of Winda Energy, commenting on the company’s new move into data center development.
