In July, Water Asset Management (WAM)’s private equity team closed a $112 million co-investment in a unique water resource and farmland asset in the U.S. Southwest. Specific details were not disclosed, but WAM said the co-investment roster included high-quality institutional allocators.
“We are very excited about this opportunity, not only for our investors but also for neighboring communities in need of reliable, long-term water supplies,” said WAM in a statement.
WAM manages three complementary strategies: WAM Global Water Equity, a long-only strategy; TRF, a long/short strategy that also considers the impact of climate change on water supplies; and Water Property Investors, a private asset strategy that invests in farmland and associated water rights.
