Ukraine and Germany have signed an energy agreement as part of an effort to help the Ukraine modernize its energy sector.
The partnership will focus on scaling up energy efficiency in buildings and the industry, modernizing the power sector, expanding renewables and reducing carbon dioxide emissions, according to Clean Energy Wire.
The two countries have also signed a memorandum of understanding, covering increased cooperation on climate issues and energy efficiency, reports Renews.Biz. Under the agreement, the countries will consolidate years of the federal government’s bilateral work on energy projects.
