The Kansas City District U.S. Army Corps of Engineers has plans to select the finalist for National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency’s (NGA) new $1.7 billion, 97-acre western headquarters in St. Louis, according to the St. Louis Post-Dispatch. A final decision on the contractor is expected by spring 2019.
Kansas City District U.S. Army Corps of Engineers will issue an RFP to the three finalists, all construction joint ventures.
The finalists include a group led by Clark Construction; a joint venture led by McCarthy Building Cos. and HITT Contracting; and a JV led by Alberici Constructors and Mortenson Construction.
The new headquarters is slated for completion in 2024.
Before a contractor is chosen, the city of St. Louis needs to finish preparing the site for the U.S. Air Force’s purchase.
