Two-property Utah 1.8 GWh battery energy storage portfolio trades hands

by Released

Accelergen Energy has sold a two-project, 1.8-gigawatt-hour battery energy storage portfolio in Utah to DESRI.

The portfolio consists of two development-stage energy storage projects that will add to DESRI’s more than 12-gigawatt existing portfolio of solar, wind and battery energy storage projects across the United States. These projects are strategically sited and developed within the Salt Lake City load pocket to support grid reliability and help meet increasing capacity needs from substantial load growth and forecasted generation retirements in the region.

JLL’s U.S. Energy and Infrastructure Advisory team served as exclusive sell-side adviser to Accelergen Energy in the transaction, which involved the sale of 100 percent of the equity interests.
