After increasing its renewable-energy capacity, Turkey broke production records and met 20 percent of its one-day energy generation from wind, according to Hurriyet Daily News.
The country ranks fifth in Europe and 12th in the world in renewable-energy installed power. Ebru Arıcı, president of the Turkish Wind Energy Association, expects records to inevitably be broken as new investments in wind become available within the framework of the Paris Agreement.
The association expects Turkey to hit 25,000 megawatts of installed power by 2030.
