Triple Point funds snap up 28MW solar PV project in England

by Kali Arevalo

Funds managed by Triple Point have acquired a 28-megawatt solar photovoltaic project in Essex, England.

The project, a joint venture between renewable-energy development platform IG Renewables and developer Anglo Renewables, covers approximately 26 hectares (64 acres) of land. Alongside clean-energy generation, the scheme incorporates a comprehensive package of environmental enhancements designed to deliver measurable biodiversity net gains.

The project received full planning approval in February 2025.

“Securing ready-to-build sites, such as Toot Hill, with near-term connection dates, located close to centers of high energy demand, is part of our strategy to accelerate the delivery of renewable-energy infrastructure,” said Jonathan Hick, head of energy transition at Triple Point. “This acquisition provides a strong foundation for the construction of a high-quality operational asset and supports our broader ambition to invest in sustainable energy projects
