Triple Point’s Digital 9 Infrastructure (D9) has acquired a data-center asset and subsea fiber landing station in the United Kingdom for £15 million ($20 million).
The acquisition, SeaEdge UK1, is located on the U.K.’s largest data center campus in Newcastle, and is the U.K.’s only landing point for the North Sea Connect cable.
Triple Point also said it has identified a £1 billion ($1.3 billion) pipeline of investment opportunities over the next six months.
“Data centers form a key part of the digital infrastructure backbone,” said Thor Johnsen, head of digital infrastructure at Triple Point. “We are thrilled to add SeaEdge UK1 to the growing D9 portfolio and look forward to updating investors on further opportunities in due course.”
