TRIG hits generating capacity of 1,941MW in first half of 2021

The Renewables Infrastructure Group (TRIG), a London-listed investment company advised by InfraRed Capital Partners and RES, has reached a portfolio generation capacity of 1,941 megawatts in first half 2021, compared to 1,820 megawatts in first half  2020.

According to an interim report for the six months ending June 30, TRIG also raised £240 million ($334 million) in equity capital from new and existing institutional and retail investors, compared to £120 million ($167 million) in 2020. The proceeds of the fundraise were invested in the Beatrice offshore wind farm, Scotland’ largest operational offshore wind farm.

With recent acquisitions such as Beatrice TRIG’s generation capacity will grow to 1.9 gigawatts. The current operational portfolio is capable of powering 1.4 million homes and avoiding 1.5 million tons of carbon emissions per year.
