The Renewables Infrastructure Group (TRIG), a London-listed investment company advised by InfraRed Capital Partners and RES, is planning to invest in a portfolio of operational wind and solar renewable energy assets in France.
TRIG will invest directly in Phoenix SAS, a holding company that owns the French renewable portfolio, through mezzanine bonds. The portfolio consists of five onshore wind farms in Northern France, with a combined capacity of 74 megawatts, and four operational solar parks with battery storage, with a combined capacity of 29 megawatts, located on the islands of Corsica and La Reunion.
The assets were developed by French developer Akuo Energy, which has an existing partnership with TRIG. This investment will represent 2 percent of TRIG's portfolio value.
