Belgium infrastructure investor TINC has partnered with Macquarie Capital to invest in a social infrastructure public-private partnership (P3) in Ireland.
TINC will acquire a minority economic interest in an Irish P3 for social housing in the Dublin region, according to a May 19 statement. Macquarie Capital will continue to actively manage the €120 million ($131 million) project during the continued construction and commencement of operations.
The P3 is based on a 25-year availability contract and comprises 534 social housing units in six locations near Dublin and the East Coast of Ireland. The project is the first bundle within the P3 social housing program announced by the Irish government in 2015, which aims to realize a total of 1,500 social housing units.
