Malaysian data center business pulls in high-profile bidders DigitalBridge, I Squared Capital, Equinix

Malaysia’s Time Dotcom data center business has attracted a swath of high-profile suitors — among them DigitalBridge Group Inc., I Squared Capital-owned BDx and Equinix Inc., according to Reuters.

Stonepeak-backed Digital Edge and Temasek Holdings’ ST Telemedia Global Data Centres are also among the possible bidders, people with knowledge of the matter have revealed.

The potential buyers are conducting due diligence on the assets, known as Aims Data Centre, but could still decide against the transaction. The potential deal could fetch up to $600 million.

Time Dotcom is a fixed-line telecommunications provider that offers a full suite of domestic and international connectivity, and data center solutions to the wholesale, enterprise and retail markets. The company also delivers pure-fiber home broadband services to consumers in Malaysia.
