Tiger Infrastructure invests $83m in U.K. full-fiber broadband

Tiger Infrastructure Partners is investing £75 million ($83 million) in Rural Broadband Solutions (RBBS), a provider of broadband services to residential and business customers in rural areas of the United Kingdom.

RBBS aims to create a high-quality, contiguous network initially covering 100,000 remote homes in small towns in Shropshire and Wales, where full-fiber connectivity is now unavailable. RBBS' target deployment areas are some of the least densely populated in the United Kingdom. Many of these areas represent an attractive investment opportunity that has been left out of the deployment plans of full-fiber operators focused on larger urban areas.
