Tiger Infrastructure-backed Unison Energy acquires microgrid system at office building in New York

Tiger Infrastructure Partners-backed Unison Energy, a fully integrated energy-as-a-service business that provides behind-the-meter solutions for U.S. commercial and industrial customers, has acquired the microgrid heat and power system at Sullivan & Cromwell’s New York headquarters.

The class-A office building is located at 125 Broad Street near South Ferry in New York’s Financial District. The building is also known as 2 New York Plaza.

The energy system’s advanced infrastructure includes a combined heat and power system, high-efficiency absorption and centrifugal chillers. Unison will own and operate the microgrid on behalf of 125 Broad Street, supplying the approximately 1.4 million square-foot property with 100 percent of its cooling needs and the majority of its heating and electrical demand through a long-term energy services agreement (ESA).
