The Teacher Retirement System of Texas (TRS) has committed $136 million to infrastructure funds in June, according to official investment correspondence.
Tailwater Capital received $100 million total for two of its funds. Tailwater E&P Opportunity Fund III, a value-add fund, received $75 million. This fund aims to acquire and build assets in shale basins across North America. TW Pickton Co-Invest received $25 million for its opportunistic strategy investing in the United States.
GCM Grosvenor’s GCM Bullhorn, an opportunistic domestic fund, received $36 million.
As of March 31, the public pension fund had $235.2 billion in total assets under management, with a 6 percent infrastructure allocation target and $15.9 billion in total infrastructure assets.
