The Teacher Retirement System (TRS) of Texas has announced two new commitments for its energy, natural resources and infrastructure (ENRI) portfolio.
The investments, which both closed in January, include a $50 million commitment to the value-add Blackstone CHPE Co-Invest, managed by Blackstone Management Partners, and a £37 million ($45 million) commitment to the core Luppiter Ventures 1, managed by Macquarie Infrastructure and Real Assets (Europe).
The Blackstone commitment represents an existing relationship for the pension fund, and the Macquarie commitment represents a new relationship.
Texas TRS has a 5 percent target allocation to ENRI.
