Texas TRS commits $44m to infrastructure strategies

The Teacher Retirement System (TRS) of Texas has committed $44 million to energy, natural resources and infrastructure funds in July, according to official investment correspondence.

Antler Special Opportunities Fund I received $14 million for its opportunistic strategy targeting the United States. This investment marks a new relationship between Texas TRS and Antler U.S. International, a global venture capital investment firm that largely focuses on opportunities in artificial intelligence, enterprise software and fintech.*

Terramont Infrastructure Opportunities Fund II received $30 million for its strategy targeting value-add investments in the United States. Managed by Terramont Infrastructure Management, a North American investment firm that works with businesses with an enterprise value of less than $500 million, this fund focuses on middle-market infrastructure investments.
