Texas Pacific Land Corporation announces agreement to provide land and water solutions to Chevron for a large-scale power project

Texas Pacific Land Corporation has announced an agreement with Chevron U.S.A., a subsidiary of Chevron Corporation, to provide land and brackish water resources for Chevron’s recently announced development known as Project Kilby, involving a large-scale power-generation facility Chevron is developing to support a customer data center in Reeves County, Texas.

As part of the agreement, TPL contributed surface acreage in exchange for cash consideration and the exclusive right to source aquifer-derived water for the power-generation facility and other associated aspects of the project.

Chevron has emphasized that water stewardship and community engagement are central considerations as the project advances. TPL intends to supply brackish groundwater, helping reduce demand for shared freshwater resources and reinforcing its ongoing commitment to responsible water development in the Permian Basin.
