Terna Group has agreed to sell its portfolio of power transmission assets in Brazil, Peru and Uruguay to CDPQ for more than €265 million ($279 million).
Terna's recently constructed, state-of-the-art transmission network in Latin America extends 1,200 kilometers (746 miles) in the three aforementioned countries. With the acquisition, CDPQ will enter the Latin American energy-transmission market, furthering its efforts to achieve a 60 percent reduction in the carbon intensity of its portfolio by 2030.
