The $183.5 billion Teacher Retirement System of Texas has approved up to $250 million for EnCap Energy Capital Fund XII, an oil and gas fund managed by EnCap Investments, according to a recent investment report.
Another recent investor into EnCap Energy Capital Fund XII is the $49.9 billion Illinois Municipal Retirement Fund (IMRF), investing $35 million.
Texas TRS recently made a commitment to another fund managed by by EnCap Investments, EnCap Flatrock Midstream Fund V, in January 2023.
