Switch, the Nevada provider of colocation, telecommunications, cloud services, and content ecosystems, kicked off the 1.1 million-square-foot expansion to its Core Campus data center in Las Vegas with a groundbreaking ceremony that took place on June 24.
The center provides up to 55 kilowatts per cabinet at 4.9¢ per kilowatt hour and a 100 percent green power uptime guarantee.
Once complete, the facility will have a capacity of 3.5 million square feet of data center space and up to 430 megawatts of power.
