Swiss Life chairman to leave the company in April

James Thornton, the current chairman and former CEO at Swiss Life Asset Managers U.K., will step down from his role on April 30.

Thornton co-founded the business, which was originally Mayfair Capital Investment Management, in 2002 and oversaw its sale to Swiss Life Asset Managers in 2016. The business currently manages £2 billion ($2.5 billion) of assets under management, comprising the Property Income Trust for Charities as well as various other funds.

Swiss Life said a successor for the chairman role will be announced in due course.
