Swedish investors contribute to Niam Infra Fund’s first close

Niam Infra Fund has completed its first external close with more than SEK 500 million ($54 million) in commitments from several Swedish investors.

The fund will target small to medium-sized investments with a focus on asset aggregation and risk reduction in primarily Nordic sustainable infrastructure.

“The support from the investors in the first external close enables us to keep our focus on deployment as we continue the capital raise toward our target of SEK 2 billion [$215 million] in commitments to the fund,” said Sverker Åkerblom, CEO of Niam Infrastructure. “We have an extensive pipeline of investment opportunities within renewable energy, transport and connectivity focused on delivering solutions to enable the sustainable energy transition.”
