Stratos, an independent aircraft investment specialist, has agreed to acquire Magi Aviation Capital, a fellow independent aircraft finance specialist and aircraft asset manager, and its various subsidiaries in an all-cash deal. Financial terms were not disclosed.
As part of the acquisition, Stratos will inherit management contracts of four aircraft leased to top Middle Eastern airlines, bringing the company’s managed portfolio to more than 60 aircraft worth $3 billion.
Stratos will also add Magi’s team of experienced aviation finance and leasing specialists, as well as offices in London; Doha, Quatar; and Brisbane, Australia. In addition, Stratos will receive Magi’s fund-related licenses.
