Stonepeak-owned digital infrastructure company Cirion Technologies has broken ground on a data center in Peru.
Its second datacenter in Peru will be in the industrial district of Macropolis in Lurín, Lima Province. The Lurín data center will be 12,000 square feet (129,167 square feet) with 20 megawatts capacity.
It is expected to be finished by first quarter 2025.
Cirion’s fiber network in Peru extends from Talara in the north to Arequipa in the south. From Lima to Arequipa, the network encompasses Lurín, Chilca, Chincha, Pisco and Ica.
Stonepeak paid $2.7 billion for Lumen’s Latin American operations in 2021 and closed in 2022, rebranding it to Cirion.
