Stonepeak has completed its acquisition of Textainer Group Holdings, one of the world’s largest lessors of intermodal containers.
Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed at closing. However, an earlier announcement of the deal in October 2023, noted the deal represented an enterprise value of $7.4 billion.
Textainer leases containers to 200 customers, including all of the world’s leading international shipping lines, and other lessees, and it operates via a network of around 400 independent depots worldwide. The company’s fleet consists of standard dry freight, dry freight specials and refrigerated intermodal containers. The company also leases tank containers through its relationship with Trifleet Leasing and continues to serve as a longstanding supplier of containers to the U.S. Military.
