STANLIB Infrastructure takes 10% stake in South African renewable investor

STANLIB Infrastructure has picked up a 10 percent stake in privately owned renewable energy developer Mulilo Energy Holdings.

The deal is expected to be strategic and complementary to both companies, according to ESI Africa.

“It provides Mulilo with a robust financial partner that has an appetite to invest in new developments and planned growth,” said the companies in a joint statement. “Similarly, it offers STANLIB access to a leading South African renewable energy platform with a strong development pipeline of close to 3 gigawatts of large-scale wind and solar PV projects.”

Mulilo is a renewable energy developer and strategic equity investor based in South Africa. The company has a specific focus in wind and solar photovoltaic technologies and is growing its share of the South African renewable energy market.
