Stack Infrastructure acquires land for planned 125-acre data center campus in North Virginia

Stack Infrastructure has purchased more than 60 acres of land zoned for data center development in Virginia, according to Data Center Dynamics.

Reports say a Stack affiliate first acquired 30.8 acres from Peterson Cos. for $25.4 million in September, then purchased nearly 32 acres for $26.14 million the same month.

The land purchase is part of a plan announced by Stack and Peterson in 2020 to develop a 125-acre data center campus in Manassas, Va. The data center campus will span more than 4 million square feet, offering more than 250 megawatts of capacity, which will serve large data center users in the Northern Virginia market, according to Stack. The initial 25-acre phase of the project will deliver 700,000 square feet and 72 megawatts of critical capacity.
