South Korean investors are increasingly pouring large amounts of capital into alternative assets overseas, according to Bloomberg.
This year alone, investments in alternative assets such as infrastructure, real estate, private equity and debt, and hedge funds skyrocketed to $173 billion, an unprecedented investment volume. In 2018, that number was $136 billion for alternative investments from fund managers, pension funds, insurers and brokerages. The year prior, it was $101 billion.
